This tour along the Friendship Highway takes you to the ancient monastery of Samye, the first monastery in Tibet. You get to visit Yumbu Lhakang, the first building of Tibet, where the first generation of Tibet’s ruling dynasty lived .You also visit the second largest city in Tibet, Shigatse. You will explore the largest Gelukpa monastery which is the seat of the Panchen Lama. Before your tour ends, you will be taken to visit the base camp of the World’s highest peak Mt.Everest from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the great Himalaya ranges.

Day 4: Drive to Samye monastery (3600m/210km)/ Overnight Guesthouse

Day 5: Drive to Tsetang (3600m/50km) - Visit Yumbu Lhakang and Traduk temple.Hotel

Day 6: Drive to Gyangtse (3950m/350km) enroute Yamdrok Lake/ Overnight Hotel

Day 7: Visit Palchole Monastery and Kumbum Pagoda Stupa and then drive to Shigatse (3900m/90km)/Overnight Hotel

Day 8: Visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery and then drive to Shegar(4050m/240km)/Overnight hotel
